Sawdust entrepreneur
A subdivision was going up nearby, so Ann bagged sawdust and sold it door to door for a nickel. Mrs. Gladson bought first.

She dragged old toys outside, made a homemade “Toys for sale” sign, and may have invented her own tiny yard-sale empire.

Almost spelling-bee glory
